Skeet Reese had most of his rods reels lifted from his boat in Alabama. About 20 rods and reels were stolen off of his boat at his hotel. This just is not good--I hate a thief. POW

I wonder why he left them there ? I suppose he had them in his room , and then maybe took them out while loading ? Either way , that is not good. If it was the morning of a tourney , I could see a competitor doing something like that to slow him down. None the less thats dirty...

Wow! That's crazy! Sucks for him!
Better look out on ebay for a lot of 20 SKT combos! ![]()

Wonder how he let that happen though. I always looked on stolen tackle as voodoo cursed. |

I hope they catch the guy and then do an investigation to see if these are exactly the same rods that you can buy off the shelf.

Well, Jesus was a fisherman, and I'd hate to see the look on his face when you run into him after you stole a bunch of fishing rods.

WASN'T ME NEITHER! I swear it wasn't. For real that is sad to hear. Times are bad and maybe a "USED" by skeet rod combo is hot on the market.
But we do need a new kicker. Maybe we can take his rig and by one? Just a thought...........

That's bad... what's the world come to if a guy can't leave his stuff in his boat without it getting stolen...

Thats a shame but some areas are like that, many however are not Paris landing Tn,as long as you inform the park rangers boat will be staying overnight ,everything in it or on it will be there when you come back, ive even seen a trailer broke down and missing one wheel off the side of the road, chock full of goodies, was there the next weekend when the guy returned from missouri.
In Ky they put you in jail, most likly in bama as well here ya dont wanna know what would happen to you,ps many of the bigger ramps are under video watch you just dont know it. |

I guess growin up in a large city causes me to be overly protective of my stuff and very "Un-trusting" of others. Even with all my caution, I've had my car broken into twice, and my home broken into and burglarized twice. I now live in a small town in a very rural area, and we still have those issues here too...not near as bad, but we hear about it on the scanner and read it in the newspaper occasionally.
Reading this article, caused me to leave Ron in the parking lot at Walmart to watch our rods and tackle in the boat while I ran inside for some supplies......Paranoid? I dunno...you tell me. ![]() |

I don't think you are being paranoid at all. When I do that I try to have somebody stay with the boat too. If I'm running into a restaurant I lock everything up and park where I can keep an eye on it.
I'm really worried now because we can't find a house where we are moving to that has a garage. I'm scared leaving the boat out all the time even covered up and I have too much stuff to carry in and out all the time. Looks like an alarm and loc-r-bars will be ordered soon. |
