Yeah, seen a one on the river, and one in a inland waterway down at they coast. You don't see them often around here, but they are around. I think that one is a pretty good size for up here. I'm waiting to see a story about one of the drunks trying to wrestle it.

remember stick i have hunting leases down in your neck of the swamp...

this was taken one afternoon on one of them leases couple years ago..and she is a bit bigger than 5 foot..she's around 12 feet..

it do give ya a warm fuzzy feeling walking thru there in the dark...

she is in the clear lake area stick.. i have seen her probly 10-12 times over the years.. i have seen her up CLOSE and PERSONAL like in the dark..it was NOT an experiance one likes..

i actually got within about 20 feet from one at the USS ALABAMA BATTLESHIP years ago. i was trying to get a "good" picture of the old girl. didn't know she had her youngun with her. lisa told me i was getting too close, but being under 30 at the time i thought i was faster than her. learnt REAL quick i wasn't. in about 5 seconds she was bout half way to me before i could turn around to run. LEASON LEARNT! HAHAHA! she was a good 12-14 footer. then when i worked at the paper mill plant, we had this guy who FED a gator everyday. took 3 whole chickens to her. yeah, i stayed away form the pump area.

my buddy ummm lets call him "rip" bagged this lil one...it is the largest gator ever taken during the ga gator season..he took it near savannah ga..

to give you and idea how tough these things are he put four 440 grain cast bullets from a 500 sw between its runnin lights at 10 feet. it still took it an hour to go belly up..

every time i run into the gator on my lease i have had my bow and arrow.i know even with a perfect shot i still had better run like hell.i am crazy not completely stupid..
