Bust!
After 12 days of being dog sick, I finally felt good enough to go out this morning. My last day out was on the 1st. That's 11 days of sitting around dreaming about fishing. For 11 days I played with my gear, bought a few new lures, and pretended to cast my new casting rig.
BUST! Not one fish. Had a very weak strike on a white beetle spin, but nothing else. And to top it off, I snagged up and lost that spinner on the next cast. I threw everything I had at them. I even went top water, no luck. Oh well, I may go again this evening. Maybe they will be a bit more cooperative.

I went like 2 weeks and only caught fish on 1 outing. Mine's back now, yours will be too. By the way.....wallyworld sells them bettle spins for .96

I just had a streak like that where I lost about 1/2 of all the fish I hooked. That sucked!

Its been pretty bad across a lot of North FL... even the decent size bluegill have shut down when normally this time of year they eat pretty much anything including the occasional bare hook.
I did get a nice fat 10" bass yesterday along a rarely fished creek area. Almost looked like it was ready for a second spawn with the fat belly. |

Time before last, I got hits on nearly every cast and caught 8 fish. 8-10" smallmouth bass mostly...dinks for sure with no braggin rights, but fun to catch.
Last time out, beautiful pictures, fish finder was gonnin nuts, but few bites and only caught a small bluegill. But I know the secret.....shhhh You gotta be in the right place, at the right time, throwin the right bait at the right depth, the right way. Nuthin to it really Better luck next time out.

I have a hard time getting away from over fished areas. I don't have a boat, and there are not a ton of good choices around here. It sucks to be me right now...
