Guys, Bassintom posted this on another thread but I thought it needed it's own. You can go here and post your condolences for Zooker in the guest book:
http://www.briggsfuneralhome.com/index.cfm Thanks for tracking it down, Tom. Oh, if you didn't know Zooker's real name is Isaac Dickerson. 'nuff said.

I clicked on the link this morning when Tom posted it on the other thread, and sat there staring at a blank screen for about 15 minutes. Finally had to give up. Maybe I'll be able to say something tonight...

his full name is Isaac James Dickerson. it is a funny story about how i found out his REAL name. i called the hospital to find his room the first time he went in. nobody knew a "ZOOKER" dickerson, but they had an Isaac Dickerson. i told them he was in for AML treatment. they said that it was Isaac and put me through to his room. he answered the phone..i said hey HOSS how ya feel? then we chatted for a bit. then he said,"how did oyu know what room i am in?" i told him how i called the hospital and they told me there was no ZOOKER. and i knew his real name now. he very sternly said,"if oyu tell anyone....your dead." i said his secret was safe with me, and that i knew his FULL name. i asked him how he got the name ZOOKER, he told me it came from some a teacher who couldn't pronounce Isaac properly. so he was forever called ZOOKER. i guess it started in school. his mom and dad call him something different, not gonna tell ya either. i'll let them tell you. i asked why he didn't like Isaac too.....he said ZOOKER was more fitting. i tend to agree...........
so oyu see? i can keep a secret ol pal.

Thanks for the link...man, I can't believe he was only 37. Didn't really know him at all, just from posts here. Taken away much too early.

I found this in the Urban dictionary.
1) zooker Verb. Suddenly disappearing from a social event (ie: party) with no notice or explanation. A zooker is usually performed late at night after ingesting too much alcohol or other mind altering substance. Term orginated in Central New Jersey area. As in "Where did Mary go? She must have pulled a Zooker." Or "Hey guys. Sorry I pulled a Zooker last night. I had to get out of there."

My thoughts exactly. I always figured it was some really odd name too. Isaac Dickerson really does have a nice ring to it.
