We have been weathering some serious wind recently too. Last night we had like 20+ mph winds and the lake is WIDE OPEN. So needless to say there were some big swells, and some air time in the boat.

this isnt gunna make you feel any better, but i just checked the forcast, and friday, and saturday, the winds will be 10mph or less. today while i was out, the wind got up to a gust of 20mph. that is what told me im gunna go, along with catching nothing. unfortunatly, im sure the wind will pick up again. but, thats life.

I hear you. As much as I love Texas the wind is one thing I can do without. And we got a lot of it. Saturday early there is another front coming through which will be bringing 20+ North winds. Second Saturday in a row.

Come to central Illinois, 20-30 mph winds are a daily thing. I would rather fish in the rain than in the wind.

I thought I was lucky this morning when I got out on the lake around 730-8a and it was GLASS. Then 1000a rolled around and here comes the wind again 20+ mph. It was a wonderful ride back from the other end of the lake.......I love the wind! ;D

DH, when I got up this morning I almost called in well to work-too well to work, need to go fishin'. Driving up to your neck of the woods I kept thinking what an great morning it would have been to be on the lake. Not even going to try tomorrow-post frontal and 20+ winds expected. Then again, I have big meeting next week so I wouldn't have been able to go anyway-got to get all my stuff wired.
Next Saturday, now.... |
