That is going a bit far, but I can't see them denying health care because you are overweight , it would most likely be a rate increase like it is for smokers

My point is, there shouldn't even be a rate increase. They DEMANDED to take over my health care. I pay for my own health insurance right now through my employer, and I don't appreciate them ending my right to spend my money how I see fit.

It's kind of like someone coming into your country without permission, and then thinking they have a right to say how it's run.....oh wait, that's already happening.

I'm just hoping for a repeal...though I can't ever see Congress giving up any power that has already been ceded to them.

I hear what you are saying and I also think this new health care initiative is a crock of **** but I would just guess that is the direction it is headed . At the end of the day all that is gonna happen is people will no longer be able to get the care they want be will end up getting what they are told they can have , it's the new American way

Hard to say this but in a way I am glad mom and dad didn't live to see this. I cannot imagine seeing someone in my family denied care because they are to old to matter. I can't believe they passed health care with the majority of the country not wanting it. To me it seems no matter how we feel we do not get the representation we call for.

If we make the necessary changes in November congress can defund the healthcare nightmare. No money=it ain't happening. Fortunately the American people are starting to wake up and realize what we are being told by the media and our "leaders" and what is really happening are 2 different things.

A "leader", aka Pelosi, telling us they have to pass a bill before they can tell us what is in it should scare the crap out of all of us. They are totally out of control but we can change that come November.

Taxes are going to go up in January because the Bush tax cuts are going to expire. A value added tax is probably on the way, as well as losing the mortgage interest deductions. Thanks the this regime and the dems spending money they don't have like it is going out of style we are about to get hosed big time.

Which is wrong. I knew this was going to happen when they went after the smokers. I told all of my non-smoking friends to stand up for smokers, but they decided not to, since they don't like cigarette smoke. And now they've come for your Twinkies.
