"In a rout, the offense took it to the defense in Alabama's weekend scrimmage. By all accounts, it ran roughshod over a rebuilding, banged-up defense during the preseason's first closed scrimmage Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama's top three quarterbacks combined for 698 yards and nine touchdowns on 52-of-69 passing, taking advantage of an inexperienced secondary that was also hampered by a string of injuries during the afternoon. Starting quarterback Greg McElroy was 26-of-33 for 360 yards and six touchdowns, according to statistics released by UA sports information."

Mcelroy threw for just shy of 300 in last years 1st scrimmage against a D that ended up alright.

Yeah dont you worry your pretty litttle head about Bama... I am a Kentucky Wildcat to the core, but i think there is a littel Bama fan in all SEC fans besides maybe Auburn fans.... They will be a force to reconed with this year for sure.... Roll Tide

thanks wtl and walker..yeah smitty......you REALLY think ol saban is gonna tell you that the team is doing REALLY,REALLY GOOD? hahaha. i agree that we are hurting on experienced players on defense, but if i were to bet i would say that we ain't hearing EVERYTHING. hahaha. like i said, i am in doubt that we will repeat..but i ALSO SAID we weren't gonna win all last year.

ol bear NEVER said that the team was the best......at BEST he said that the team was doing fair. even his undefeated teams.

Ain't no bama fans in razorback country. I have high hopes for mallet, wright, and childs this year. Jarius Wright, and Greg Childs are from my hometown, they led or high school team to a state championship, though only juniors this year watch them for big things, and next year barring any injuries they are likely to be unstopable.

has anyone watched the espn show about bama? kinda an inside look at the team as they start fall practices. i have it recorded, but lisa rented a movie for tonight, so i have to wait to see it myself.
