Default Car Show (Pics)

After some trouble with our Camaro in early July, we've missed a lot of car shows. After diagnosing the problem and fixing it, we drove it for the first time in about 6 weeks last night, and took it to a car show tonight.

It was the last of this place's Super Cruises for the year, and the biggest. With 650-700 cars. This is a great show for a variety of cars, but unfortunately, because how they line them up down the closed street, it's not a great show for taking pictures. But everything from hot rods, to muscles cars, lots of Mopars, even newer cars show up to this show.

Having been going to these shows for about 6 years, it takes something special to get my to take more than a few quick snapshots. And there were a couple cars like that here tonight.

First was a Mustang. The special thing was the fading racing stripes. Check em out.

Then the Custom 1969 Camaro SS Convertible is what really impressed me. Beautiful car, and definitely a show car. Custom interior, including a custom center console, and a modified dash from a 1959 Impala. Lots of chrome, and custom stuff under the hood too. Aluminum exhaust manifolds too. Great looking car.

I also got to see some pretty sweet cars yesterday! Car broke down in Berea,Ohio and we went to Serpentini Chevrolet to get it fixed. I got to see some 2010 Camaro SS's and a 2010 Corvette ZR1. Ya i was impressed with a 6.2L V8 and 638 HP. The price tag also impressed me! $122,250.00!!!!!

That 59 Impala dash in the 69 Camaro looks great.....I'd like to do something like that to my S10 Blazer.

Yes we are now that we've got our Camaro fixed.

We'd like to get a place to park, since we cruised last year, but places to park are very tough to find this close to it.

Check out http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com - there's some info in there about places to park, different shows, etc. We've always tried to get a little further north, for convenience' sake.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it out this year, but I'll keep an eye out for that yella' beast if I make it down - what's the plate number so I can holler' at you if I see you?

You know, I don't know the plate number off the top of my head... But we did manage to get a parking spot. About a block south of 11mile. Not as far north as we would have liked, but not too bad.

If you make it look for the yellow '69 RS Convertible. You'll know it's us by the stripe on the hood. That's a very rare stripe option.

Stay true to the brand! Go find a Boss 429 Hemi, if you can, and slap it in there. Shock towers will have to be radically altered and you can't change the rear most plugs without lifting the engine but it would be a sweet ride.
