Go Rangers!!!

The Texas Rangers are going to the World Series for the first time in team history!! They won the American League pennant, 4 games to 2 over the hated New York Yankees!

I played baseball from the age of 7 through my senior year in high school. I've been a Rangers fan every step of the way. I wasn't sure if this day would ever come!

what are you talking about? man it is FOOTBALL SEASON! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, for real congrats to the rangers. it is really good to see a team that has never been go for a change. tired as all get out seeing the yankees go most of the time. or am i in the wrong league? shows how much i watch baseball.

I was Rangers fan as a kid. But only because every kid worshipped Nolan Ryan when i was 8 years old...

This is the first year in I don't know how long that I'm not in full football mode. I'm more of a NFL fan than college but the Cowboys are making it pretty easy to not be terribly interested. I'm sure they will get my full attention as soon as the Rangers beat the Giants in the World Series

Bama looked ruff the whole first half Saturday BBM. I guess the half time butt chewing worked.

The Vols are gonna have a long, hard seasin I'm afraid. How 'bout Auburn being ranked #1?

Yes they did look rough the first half hooker ( i just love that name man). Guess the butt benching little chat did some good too,lol. Tenn will be back up there in aobut 3 years i supspect, dooley has to get HIS players in the program first though.

now for the trivia question...............i am waiting on ol jrob to come back with the answer folks. i will give him another day or 2. so please gang wait? thanks!

I am stumped on the second part of your question. Don Drysdale is the only name I can come up with but he played for the Dodgers, not the Mets.

ok i will tell you my friend. his name is TOM SEAVER, tom and nolan were teamed up for the MIRCALE METS of 1969 world series. seeing how tom and i have the same last name, i became a mets fan from that day on. when tom went to the reds i did too, but still loved the mets. even when he went to the white sox, i rooted for tom but was loyal to the mets. besides, i hate the yankees,hahaha.
we sent ol tom a letter asking for a signed baseball or photo. allw e got back was a letter from his fan club our last name didn't even register with them i guess. doubt if we are related anyway. but i loved to watch tom pitch. if his knee was dirty, he was in the zone for sure.

Tom Seaver, I would have never guessed that, I definitely know who he is though. He's a Hall of Famer, one of the all time greats!

Interesting footnote about those two pitchers -- they are the top 2 (pct. wise) all time vote-getters in the Hall of Fame -- Seaver at 98.84% (425/430) and Ryan at 98.79% (491/497).

I am a bit of a sudent of the game you could say lol. Baseball has been such a huge part of my life as far back as I can remember so I can't help but have a bit of knowledge about it I guess.

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants, 2010 World Series Champions.

The Rangers had a great season and provided me with a lot of good times and happy memories. They have a young team, a great farm system and new ownership, they should be competitive for years to come.

Being a Cardinals fan I really didn't have a dog in the fight. However I really wanted to see the Rangers win the Series, for Nolan Ryan if for no other reason (although I also have a lot of respect for how Josh Hamilton has turned his life around and wanted to see him get a ring as well). Good for the Giants I guess

. Bright side is I won $100 in our ball pot so that is my silver lining
