Default Gas Pumps

I have a 300 foot cart path from my home to my boat house. I am looking for the best method to transport, store and pump gas into my bass boat in my boat house. I have seen the plastic 14 and 28 gallon plastic tanks on wheels. My boat holds 40 gallons of gas. Does anyone have suggestions on the best gas tank on the market that would meet my needs?

second to mallen's thought. have you looked the tanks they put on trucks, you know, the ones the farm trucks use. put one on the back of a golf cart.

they make a tank with a hand or electric pump, that mounts on a small utility trailer you can pull with a riding mower or four wheeler, and I think it's a 20 gal tank

If it's not too big of a lake and you don't go through too much gas you could always pull the boat out and go fill it up. If it's only once every 4-6 weeks that's not too bad. Make sure to treat that ethanol gas too. (Star-Tron, StaBil Ethanol, etc)

Otherwise my neighbors when I lived a the lake in Michigan just used to use a few 5 gallon tanks for his ski boat.

You guys were not much help on my need for a gas pump/tank, but I really appreciated the refueling jet. I do plan to buy a golf cart (don't tell the wife), but I really need a portable tank I can tow down to the dock with the golf cart and then pump gas into my boat.

Ok........give this a thought. Have you checked on going to a welding shop and asking about how much it would cost to have one MADE? For real now. AThis way you can have it done EXACTLY the way you need it. Mind oyu now, the cost would be pretty high, but you would have a custom made TOWABLE tank. If i was to do this, i would go with a stainless type tank. No rust. And it can be made to whatever gallon size you want.
OR......how about this, look at what the farmers use on the backs of their trucks. You would still need to take it to a fab shop and have wheels mounted on it. Look in any co-op store or mag. I bet you would be able to to this.

Okay, while this is designed for water, I see no reason why I couldn't be used for gasoline.
While purchasing it might not work, I don't see why building it would be impossible

Okay, I'm confused .... everyone is thinking/speaking about a big tank on a golf cart to get down to the dock.... but how does the gas get in that tank?? Seems like driving a golf cart to the nearest gas station might be a problem. ???

hmmmmmmmmmm good point abbey. he just asked about a towable tank though.

GOT IT! if he were to have what i suggested made. he can get some ramps to pull it off and on the truck. SOLVED! i am serious.

it would also work for what cass posted too.
