Default Gittin cold!

Well, we had a goog 6 inches of snow over the week. Not has cold as I thought! So far I'm enjoying the weather.

The the down side, the fishing season is almost to an end, and I've only caught like 3 small mouth, all under 6 inches. how ever a small pike, a small muskie and a 16" walleye have all proved good table fare so far!

Should be getting some stuff in the mail soon to drool over all winter! Can't wait lol! Me and my older bro made a 6' snow man too! SOB was HARD to roll... back up a hill we rolled it down! Open deer season starts next Saturday btw, hopefully I'll shoot a few!

Anyway, just that I'd give an update.

Sammy,

If you thought people get upset about keeping bass for the frying pan, don't tell anyone that you ate a musky. musky fishermen definitely wouldn't like that. Also, check the state's regulations on keeping musky. The size limit in Michigan is generally 40" With some lakes (like the one I fish most) being 50"

Man, fishing stuff and some expensive deer tags. you really won't be able to save up any money!

As for it getting gold. twenties and half a foot of snow isn't quite winter up there. just wait till it's -20. Then we'll see if its "not as cold as you though!"

Doh! Woops, didn't keep the muskie. But the pike I did. Minimum here for them or 40, or 50".

But yeah every one's saying that too, "wait till it get's -40" lol.

btw deer tags here ain't much, cause there's so dang many of the critters. And accually my grandma bought 'em for me... she loves venison!

Bassboss, the water temp here is 48 degrees and I'm catching big smallies and the occasional LM fishing 12-20 ft of water. T-rig on light bullet weight(pegged) with 4"red shad power worm. Let it sit on the bottom and shake it...move a little and shake some more. Repeat ad nauseum..
