I'm sorry to report that my marriage of 26 years is through. I have watched here become more addicted to perscription painkillers every day for the last seven years, and I can't take it anymore. Any attempt by me to help her have been ignored. The divorce papers were filed last week and it is promising to be very nasty. I won't have access to a computer for a while, but I will stop in whenever I get the chance. You guys behave until I get back.

Wow thats too bad. I always hate it when someone gets divorced. 26 years wow... (29 here) It always reminds me how blessed I am. Best of luck to you and hopefully she gets the help she needs. That is some nasty addiction. Not an easy one to fix. Your in my prayers.

Man I hate to hear this. I can't imagine what either one of you have been through with the addiction, it's a terrible thing. I pray that she finds the help she needs and I will be praying for you both.

I'm so very sorry to hear this Hooker. I know your hurtting badly over all this. It's a very tough thing for both of you to have to go through. Like the others said, I hope your wife gets the help she badly needs. And I'll be saying a prayer for both of you tonight my friend. God bless.

It's sad that after that many years, the two of you couldn't overcome the drugs. But in the end, if you can't save her, maybe you can save yourself.
Hang in there, I'm sure the road will get a little rougher until you get to the highway.
