Yeah I'm seeing a good deal of baits that have more mixed colors and closely resemble the craws. I have a chart with all the species of craws in VA and many of my custom tubes for guys in NY, SD, Minn, etc match them perfectly. Now I'm looking at some laminated tubes that blend colors too. Some good stuff out there. What color is the Paca craw? I'd be interested in looking at it. Might even be able to put that skirt together.

I've been good,It is nice to see your still here.

Smitty, there are a lot of colors that are closer than they were 5 yrs ago.Magic swirl is the color that I like.I use to stock up on the sweet beavers for first ice out,the bass absolutely hammered that color in the feeder creeks here.I have a guy locally that makes my craw jig scheme. It ain't pretty enough to sell on the market but it works well for me.

Ugly ain't it ? It's got bright neon green metallic flake and gold flake over a smoke brownish gray strand and powder blue strands added in.The head is a slate gray powder coat with a blue appearance to it.I bought 250 jigs and I wish I had bought more because he doesn't want to make jigs anymore, his spinnerbaits are what is selling for him.

I've had one good day on the Magic Craw swirl color but I still throw it every once and a while. I thought I'd do better on it. Penetration has put more fish in the boat for me.

I like the color combo. Can you PM me a better pic. I'd like to see how close it resembles the craws here in VA. Got a chart with all the different species that live in the state. Would be interested to see what it matches.

PM me your address and I'll send you one of the 4 I have left.Did I mention I live in musky country ?They cut 50 lb braid like it was butter.Your not going to be impressed with it but I swear there is something to the color when the bite is off or when pitching to the submerged weedbeds in 12+ ft. of water. Most people who fish jigs won't pitch jigs to that depth of water in my area.It is something I learned from Greg Hackney, I often wonder if he fishes that way any more ? All terrain made me up some grass master jigs with the heads painted near the local jig color but darker.I removed their skirts and put my own skirt color on them.Nicer than my local jig. It's impossible to find a better jig than the grassmaster jig for $2.99 a jig.

Tried to get the grassmaster jigs to sell and they wanted me to charge $1 more per jig than what they sold them online. I've got a local guy who custom made grass jigs until his shop burned down so my supply is now limited. If you want custom painted jigs I can help you there too.

Send me one and I'll see if Dave (Dave's Custom Baits) can make you up some. If he can I'll let you know and pick some up. I'll see him next weekend at the Richmond show (21st-23rd)
