If the water is clear enough, you will see a bunch of cleared out spots that look almost like perfect circles cleaned out down to almost a rock bottom.
The best way I have ever seen to catch bass on a bed is to offer something that will make them feel a threat to the eggs. Tie on a rubber lizard, cast it past the beds and slowly work it back. When it gets to the bed, let it fall into one of them. Sometimes, the bass will only lip it to move it out of the bedding area. If you keep this up, they will eventually inhale it out of frustration. Another way is to us a crankbait or rat-l-trap in a bluegill pattern. Bluegills are a big threat to bass eggs. Just remember, if you find a bed try to stay back a pretty good distance, if they see you they won't hardly bite anything. |

ya, beds are gunna look like sandy patches in the bottom, they will be dug out a little bit. if the water is clear enough you can see the bass on the bed. but just look for light colored areas in the water. BB covered the bait.

A pair of polarized sunglasses will make a BIG difference in being able to spot them.
