I just bought a 58" Plazma Samsung series 5 tv and a Samsung sound bar , wireless subwoofer system. The tv has a great picture , but the issue is that it occasionally experiences a problem. The problem is upon power up it sometimes goes threw a flashing , on off on off type routine , like its trying to shut its self off to fix this just turn off the dish reciever then power back up. But my more annoying problem is the sound bar will just turn itself off , or volume down by itself ? WTF ? It is really annoying. The place I bought it from , the owner came out , and luckily seen it all for himself. He replaced the fiber optic cable for the soundbar thinking maybe it was bad , but it still does it. He moved the power wire to another outlet on the surge protector and then the tv power light just flashed and wouldnt even turn on ? Any suggestions ? Ps , my LG LCD I replaced never had any issues , and all the other equipment was the same , same dish reciever and cables/power strip..also the owner said he would replace both items. He even ordered a new tv today and it should be in tuesday. I am still curious though..

My son-n-law just got one of Samsungs 65" 3D tv's and one of those sound bars your talkin about.....He was telling me all about it over Christmas dinner....He hasn't had any issues with his from the way he talked...So hopefully your issues are not brand specific and just a bad unit. I have a small 26 hdtv thats made by Haier, and just a couple of days ago it freaked out and the menu is flashing on and off, and the volume turns itself all the way up....I can turn it down, but it goes right back up to 100% volume....I dunno what I'm gonna do with it now.
I hope you get your issues fixed....it sux that you spend big bucks on high tech equipment only to have issues right off the bat. Ya know....Old standard crt tv's may not have a high def picture but they lasted for years, and years and years.....even the cheap ones.....Will HDTV's prove to do the same or will these high dollar units all fail within just a few years so we'll have to replace them more often???
