Default Humminbird side imaging advice

We are looking at getting a hb side imaging unit, now my question is going over the specs I am looking at I see that the 898 and up models have a video output on the device. Is it a standard AV video out, that can hook up to any video monitor? Can you view your SI on the monitor?.

Doc, with that connector, you can indeed connect the head unit to a video monitor for an even bigger picture (same resolution though).

Surely you didn't think it would be a standard connector, right? Proprietary, all the way...gotta keep you sending them that cash.

It's their own part no. VC-1.
