Well Nofear , I could have but decided not to get the 1198cSI , instead I opted for the 998cSI. I got that , the ram mount and a Navionics hotmaps chip for 2000.00 even. And , lots and lots of tackle...They were selling the Lowrance HDS10 with SideImaging for 2800 even.

Awesome, buddy!!! No difference between the 1198 and 998 except a smaller screen....I think.
You'll be picking apart West Boggs in no time. If you ever come fishing with me, we could put both of ours on my boat for the day LOL.

NFE , that would be awsome. I would like to get another finder for the front of my boat and utilize the ethernet feature. I believe all of the models available are still starting at $600 and up. I did however save $750 by getting the 998....humm....
