Looking for a new flipping stick and have settled on 1 of these two. Dobyns Savvy Cast Rod 7'6" Heavy Flip fast 14-30lb ¼-2oz $169.99 vs Powell Endurance Flippin Rod 7'7" Med Hvy Xfast 12-25lb ¼ to 1 ½oz $169.99. Is there really any performance differences between the two since Gary Dobyns has a history with Powell rods? I have handled the powell max flipping sticks and they were extremely tip heavy. The endurance is supposed to be better balanced. I don't have a Dobyns dealer available nearby to gauge the feel. Any recommendations?

I own 4 Dobyns rods from a 7' MH up to a 7'8" H and they all balance great.
I don't know about the Endurance, but the Max is similar to the Savvy for rods 7' and under. Once you get over 7', the Savvy really shines compared to the Max series. But like I said, I don't know about the Endurance. I have heard they balance a bit better than the Max rods. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong. Dobyns and Powell both make great rods. BB
