I am the owner of 10(ten) BB1n Lew's Speed Spool..I just bought a BB1L and didn't notice until I got home that it doesn't have an anti-reverse button on top and I can't figure out how to use it without loose line or bird-nesting. Any Help

Check out This Article I wrote on how to properly adjust a baitcaster. That should help you out with the newer reel.

Thanks B B. Sure wish I had that info about 25 yrs. ago. I had more backlashes/bird-nest than I had good cast. I need to know if this Lew's BB1L has a way of keeping it from cranking both forward and backward. All my other Lew's have a button on the top right side to lock it from turning backward. Can't find one on this BB1L.

Most, if not all, casting reels have built in anti-reverse mechanisms in the reels. You can't turn them on/off. I'm not familiar with the older Lew's reels, so I didn't realize they had on/off anti reverse switches.
