I was loading pictures up to the computer and came across this one. The first bass of each year is pretty special after going so long without catching one, even though this one's pretty young. It was actually a very short trip to a pond that resulted in this one plus 17 more little guys just like him. I enjoy using this cheap ultralight set up with smaller tackle in ponds like this. Makes the fights more fun.

Congrats on the first of 2011 Marc! Still waiting for open water myself.
Does it make me a bad person to want more of this hard rain to melt the ice despite all the flooding that's already going on in our area? BB
