i was wonderin cuz one of my buddys run buzzbaits across the`bottom and says`its the same thing as a spinnerbait anybody agree with that or any comments

he runs them on the bottom ??? ??? he would have to reels them in REALLY REALLY slow. they arent like spinnerbaits at all. buzzbaits are topwater baits. BTW, welcome to the board.

I think it would be hard to keep it on the bottom-the blades have way too much lift.

Why not just use a spinnerbait? ???
I have heard of people using them under the water, but never heard of people having success with them that way. I'm with bassfisher on this one. He would have to reel really slow to keep it from breaking the surface. Welcome to the board. Jump right in and have some fun. Just make sure you got your boots handy. Tends to get pretty deep in here if you know what I mean ![]() |

I don't think he's dumb at all. Sure, a buzzbait is intended to be fished topwater, but a lot of fish are caught by people doing unconventional things. If he was on fish that were willing to bite, I think they would hit that buzzbait as readily as a spinnerbait. |
