Default Loomis NRX lure weight experiences

Hello there,

I知 seroiusly thinking about buying a G.Loomis NRX casting rod, especially I知 in love with the 804C JWR (6'8" Heavy, 5/16-3/4oz).

Now, to the lucky guys that already own this one or another model from the heavy series:

What do you think, the rod can take as maximum lure weight without loosing bait control (casting and underwater)? is it strictly 3/4oz or maybe more?

I知 planning to use the rod on a river, so I値l preferably use 5/8oz jig-heads, even 3/4oz if there痴 stronger current.
Also, I'm not sure if the rod is really river-suitable...

as reel, I will use a shimano core 101.

Many thanks for your experiences,

David
