The conversation went something like this:

Emma: Daddy, what are we going to do this weekend.
Me: I figured we would either go to see HOP or go to the beach.
Emma: Oh (Her face showing me disappointment.
Me: What's wrong Princess
Emma: I was hoping we could go fishing.

That's my girl!

Very cool, Cass, very cool. My 7-year old nephew was here with us last weekend, and the first thing he wanted to do on Saturday morning was to go to Cabela's (5 min. from here)! We spent almost 2 hours there. When we met my brother-in-law to drop him off again on Sunday, we stopped at Dick's and Gander on the way.

It was a fun couple fo hours. I decided to pick up a dozen shiners for the afternoon. Well, Emma ended up naming them and didn't want them to be hurt with hooks. She was pushing hard in an attempt to convince me that we should go buy an aquarium for her new "pets". I finally convinced her that it would be better to let them go in the lake so that they would have more room.
We did catch 5 fish between us in 3 hours. Nothing huge, but it was really about Daddy-Daughter fishing time anyways.

tom, i KNOW that just HAS to make oyu feel good. it does me. knowing that oyu spend QUALITY time with your daughter is something EVERY parent should do. thanks man.

now how many minnows made it oyu think? lol.
