New Family Member !

As a few of you know from another thread , I have a new family member...another girl !! Born this morning at 9:19 am , 19.25" and a mere 6#15oz. She is little. My oldest daugher has me wrapped around her finger ( and I think she knows it ) , so I am sure this one will too

, and there is no place id rather be....

Girls are great! Congrats, Cmorg! Mine are all grown and now my grand-daughter wraps me around her little finger. Her and her cousins. I've got four grand-daughters but the one that lives with us gets the bulk of the spoiling!

Thank you all. I appreciate it. I am off to the hospital again , momma has an infection so she has to stay for a bit longer than normal. Baby is losing weight as well. Lost 6 oz. so far , the doctors said they start worring at 7 oz. So I hope she puts on some weight today. She takes bottles like crazy though..good appetite.

Every baby (virtually, anyway) loses some weight after being born. They go from getting nutrition 24/7 with no effort on their part, to having periodic feedings and having to suckle. Our little girl lost from 5-5 down to 4-15 or so, and she turned out fine.

We went through this as well with Lake. In fact they kept us an extra day in the hospital so they could make sure he would start putting on the weight. Like Daniel said, it's pretty much normal so don't get too worried.
