whts up everyone!? im a new member so i thought maybe someon of ya'll could help me with this...
...i got a 12ft jon boat n i was thinkin bout maybe puttin a deck on the front of it for stability. would it make any difference in boyancy and stabilty (good or bad)? if anyone else has done this lemme know it would be greatly apprieciated. thanks |

I did this with a 14 ft jon boat put front and back casting decks along with storage compartments...etc... the boat is for sale now but if you put a deck on it dont put a long deck cause the stability is a lil bit of a problem

It won't help your stability at all. If anything it will make it worse because it will raise the center of gravity. It will also add weight to a small boat that doesn't really have a lot of weight capacity to spare.

If you want a boat with decks and stuff just get a bass boat i actually wouldnt suggest doing it because i did it and it does mess up the way the boat handles
