We knew from the ScoutLookWeather.com forecast that it was going to be overcast with a chance of rain, and windy today. Whitecaps on some of the local lakes kept friends off of the water, but YakViper and I knew that we'd find calmer conditions in the skinny water of Honeoye Lake Inlet.
We found calm water and lots of fish, 40 largemouth bass and 1 pickerel. The bass weren't anything to brag about, but it was nice to have our first high numbers day of the season. We caught them on weightless T-rigged Senkos & tubes, and Alan even caught one on a buzzbait. We started out about 10:30am and finished up around 5:30pm. Fish were caught sporadically at the beginning, but when the rain started around 3:30, things really came alive. We were catching fish every other cast it seemed. Wind aside, it wasn't too cold and all in all a fun day of fishing! ![]() ![]() ![]()
