Default baitcast reels $70-$120

looking for a reel to pair up with a carrot stix rod, ive been looking at the quantum kinetic PT and the BPS johnny morris limited edition/BPS pro qualifier. Any thoughts on these reels or even different reels perferably ones off of BPS.com though.

The standard BPS Pro Qualifier is on sale now for $79.00 through fathers day. You can get it in several gear ratios to fit your needs. a 6.4.1 ratio is best for general purpose. Slower ratios like the 5.1.1 is good for crank baits. My opinion is that it's the best reel in that price range and quite a bit higher until you get up past the $150 range.

What do you plan on using the reel for? And what are your most important attributes (i.e. Casting performance, smoothness, strong drag, etc.)

Super advice here! At $79, that reel is a complete steal.

Great reel. I own several and have for some time now. I think they rank right up with reels in the $150 category.
