I still haven't received the Revo Premier Spinning Reel I ordered from them back in February (see this thread). It's a long story, but I've grown to be very discontented with them (maybe someday I'll share the full rant in another thread ). Its back-order date has changed several times (I have to call them all the time to find that out, they can't notify me for some reason), and the last date they gave me was 7/1 (yeah, right). I told them the last two times I talked to them that I know they're just waiting for me to give up and cancel this order and that I will never see this reel.

I don't see me ordering anything from them again any time soon.

That does suck, with the experience you guys had with those Revos, and some other things I've heard, I'd never buy a back ordered sale item from them. Hopefully something that is in stock would be better.

And that is exactly why I didn't even take them up on the offer to sell me one of two I had originally ordered. I figured something like that would happen. A Premier for even $20 isn't a good deal if you never get it.

I stopped in Gander Mountain in Novi, MI last week because I forgot most of my spinning gear down south and needed another rig. They had Curado E7s for $129 in the reel case. I've never seen them in a store for that cheap before and I hate ordering online and waiting for stuff to come.

I ended up at Dick's where I found Stradic 2500FIs on sale for $129 also, had to pay full price for a rod though.

Bass Pro might price match it for you. They have done that for me in the past.

I got my revo premier spinning reel from that sale. They called me a couple of weeks after the sale and told me i could only have one instead of the two i had ordered. I sald I would rather have two, but would take what i could get. My reel showed up a week later.

Apparently you are much higher up on their "important customers" list than I am. They called me shortly after the original order and said if I wanted the one I ordered, I would need to re-order it since they cancelled all the original orders, so I did that while I was on the phone with them. When I called them a couple weeks later to check on it, I was told it was on back-order until 4/25. I called back on 5/4 to see what the deal was and they told me it was now on back-order until 5/26. My 5/23 call yielded a new date of 6/24 and during my call a couple days ago, they told me 7/1. Of course I bought a new rod for it a long time ago, so I had to "steal" a different reel from one of my older rods to use and leave that rod empty for the time being. All I can do is smile about it at this point.

just so you guys know...I called Gander yesterday and they told me that this promotion ends Monday so get your orders in quickly.
