Re: Cabelas and BPS baitcasters
No reason for an elaborate answer here...I'll just give you the basics. I think the for my money the Cabelas reels are more expensive than a reel of equal quality at BPS. There you go...I choose BPS over Cabelas. So, I think BPS reels are great. I have a couple BPS Extreme reels, a Rick Clunn, and a Pro Qualifier. So, there you go. There is one vote. Also, I know there are at least 2 or 3 more votes on this board for the BPS Extreme reel.
And, so Rebbasser doesn't have to post if he doesn't want to..."Pair up an Extreme reel with an All Star Classic rod and you are set." That was Rebbassers advice to me...and well, you read about the reels I have, but I also have 4 All Star Rods now! |

Re: Cabelas and BPS baitcasters
If I could comment,I feel that the Johnny Morris reels are definately worth the money.I bought 2 of them and they are smooth as silk. However, I prefer the Daiwa TD-1 reels for flipping jigs, maybe the BPS reels have not been broke in yet makes a difference.I also have the Extreme reel and it is a decent reel also. Re: Cabelas and BPS baitcasters
Well, being here in jersey, with a bps and a cableas in pennsylvania, I can easily chose both, I would love to get a Prodigy Baitcast Combo and A Prodigy Spinning Combo, but first i need to get a job(im only 15). But for the money BPS is cheaper
Hope this helps -PB |

Re: Cabelas and BPS baitcasters
Basically all you need to know is that Pfluegler makes some if not all of the BPS reels especially the higher end ones and Pinnacle makes reels for Cabela's. Both companies make great reels. I have two Pinnacle Janis reels that I love and don't think you can beat for the money. They are the same as Cabela's Tournament ZX reel. Right now Cabela's has them on sale for $60.00.
