I use fluro on my finese rig setups (dropshot, tubes) with spinning gear. I do back the line however with fireline or mono. Berkley Vanish works pretty well. Interested to try transition. On my baitcasters though it's mono or braid.

I use both mono (Trilene big game)and flouro(vanish).
I like using flouro for soft plastics and any lure i want to fish sub-surface because it sinks faster and is more sensitive due to less stretch. It kills the action of topwaters though because it sinks. I use mono for topwater and any other lure that i want a little stretch or shock absorbstion. Since I have gone to flouro for weightless soft plastics i can't stand using mono for them, the difference is ENORMOUS! Hope this helps. |

Why would you make a statement that they haven't produced any good line in years? If you prefer another brand, that's fine, just wanting to know WHY you guys think it's so bad. Lizards Lizards |
