I have looked on the net and can't find any diagrams of how to put one on, so I will explain it the best I can. Â*
Most trailer hooks come with rubber boot covers for the eyes of the hook. Â*What you do is slip that boot over the eye of the trailer hook, then insert the hook of your bait into the eye of the trailer hook passing through the rubber boot. Â*Alot of people also have luck without using the rubber boots on the trailer hooks. Â*This allows the hook to hang downward while you are fishing the bait and any hits that you might get from underneath will be covered. Â* By the way, most trailer hook packs have drawn diagrams on the back to show how to apply them. |

Here you go:
![]() I took the skirt off so you can see it better. The trailer is held on with a plastic disk that I got by using a hole punch on a plastic lid. Put the point of the main hook through the center and slide it down on the hook. |

The rubber that comes with a trailer hook can be cut into small sections (appx 1/4 "
![]() The problem with using the small piece of plastic (the disk) is that it is hard to take off in the event that you feel it is neccesary to remove the trailer hook. I've had to cut mine off to remove the hook. With the piece of rubber tubing it's easy to take off and reaply as necc. |

I actually recycle my banged and chewed soft plastics by ripping a small piece off and using that to keep the trailer on. Seems to work.

Great tip!
By the way what do you guys do with your old plastic worms? I normally take a soldering iron and fix them up a bit, but after a while they become to banged up for that. |
