Welcome to the forum, Eric!
I haven't fished Conroe in years. For a murky lake I would go with bright colors that are easier for the fish to see, big, bulky jigs that will move a lot of water and a spinnerbait with a big, single Colorado blade. Here is a site where I bet you could get some specific info on Conroe: http://www.texasfishingforum.com/cgi...ultimatebb.cgi |

I always have luck using bright colored lures in murky water...
also, think spinnerbaits & poppers... murky water doesnt allow great sun penitration, so the bass a lot of times, stay in relatively shallow water. use colorado or colorado & willow combination spinnerbait on the poppers... use Rebel Pop-R (usually medium sized) also, a quality buzzbait is great, put a trailor hook on those to catch more fish ![]() will be glad to answer more questions, seaphantom |

Also, research... research...& research...
buy books and ask the older guys about bassing, they are walking encyclopedias to success! ;D seaphantom |
