First Decent Bass of the Year!
My dad and I went out to Clark County on Saturday, a 300 acre reservoir here in SW Kansas. Fishing was slow as a cold front blew through early Saturday morning and the north wind was blowing 30 mph. Couldn't hold on the points very well, so once the sun came out we went up in the north end where there was less wind and there's some good spawning areas around some reeds. Finally got this female right in front of a patch of reeds.
4 pounds, 11 oz. Caught her on a purple ringworm with the tail dyed chartruese. |

Nice haul Double J. Nothing like starting the year off with some pig.
