Baseball report (nephew)
I posted a while back about my nephew who's a freshman on Roanoke College baseball team. He finally got a start (had a few relief apperences) and gave'em 7 good innings, had a 3-2 lead and got a no decicion. Since then he's gotten 2 more starts and had 2 complete game wins. Both of them by a 6-1 score.
Stats: 4-0 record---2.36ERA---38.1 innings---25 SO and only 6 walks. he also has 1 save and has only given up 1 HR. (He thinks its still in orbit somewhere) He got his chance and made the most of it. YEA I'M PROUD OF HIM.

That's really cool Ron. That is an impressive line, especially the 2.36 ERA over 38 1/3 innings. Only having 6 walks is huge, nothing will kill a pitcher faster than putting men on base.

That is a heck of a line, especially for a freshman. You have every right to proud, keep us updated on the rest of the season.

A good pitching is what makes a team go 'round... and sounds like he makes him team do just that!
Take it from me, our team just got shut out, 10-run-ruled, no hits, one walked, from the best pitcher in the conference.

Thanks guys. Dalton is a good kid too, never gives his parents a bit of problem, loves the outdoors and hunting as much as he does baseball. If he just didn't like the Redskins and the Tarheels I'd claim him as my own.

My nephew ended the year at 4-1. Started the last game of year on senior day and took a 7-2 loss, only give up 3 earned runs but he didn't pitch well.
Today he was named 3rd team All-ODAC. Not bad for a freshman. Sorry about the bragging but I couldn't myself.

Very cool, Ron! Thanks for the updates and keep us posted again next season. I pitched for 4 years at a small D-III school way back in my college days, so it is fun to read about your nephew and reminisce about days gone by for me.

Man that's great to hear! Can't wait to see how he's doing his next couple years before he starts playing in the Majors!
