Weekend pics
We can only fish for panfish right now in MN, so we tried our hand at some crappie fishing from the dock up at our cabin this weekend. I was throwing a small marabou crappie jig and my wife was using a crappie minnow on a Flu Flu jig under a bobber.
First fish of the year at our cabin - 1lb 12oz LM (and first self-photo of the year!)  Biggest LM of the weekend - 2lb 6oz - caught by my wife, Kaye  Only crappie of the weekend - 1lb, 8oz, 12.0"  Biggest fish of the weekend - 3lb 8oz, 17.5" Smallie (nice "stocking cap hair"  ) I also caught three Largemouth that were all under 2 pounds. So...the 5 bass I caught in Iowa the last weekend in March, plus the 4 bass this weekend give me 9 for the year, meaning I'm only 991 bass behind bluebasser for 2012!
