Default Witnessed a baseball first tonight.

Watching the Rangers on tv tonight, like I always do, Rangers vs. Orioles in Baltimore. Josh Hamilton went 5-5 with 4 home runs and a long double. All 4 homers were 2-run and Elvis Andrus was on 1st every time. His last at bat yesterday in the 9th inning was, yep, a 2-run home run with Elvis on 1st. So going back to last night Josh is 6 for 6 with 5 2-run home runs. Pretty amazing. I know it isn't the first time a guy has hit 4 home runs in a game but it's the first time I've seen it happen.

Yeah, I saw that! It was crazy!!! 5-5 with 4 home runs and a double! The thing I don't understand, is when were they gonna think to walk him? I mean, after the first 3 home runs, you'd think they'd consider jut puttin' em on base and gettin' the next guy!

Funny thing is that each ball he hit out was in the same location...middle outside of the plate. I think two were fastball, one a curveball, and one slider. Bottom line...after he hit three homers...who is the brillant person to continue pitching to him.

STL fan for life but a hats off to Josh for an amazing performance.

All the home runs went out of the park in about the same place too, center and just right of center, the deepest part of the park. He doesn't usually hit cheap home runs.

What a great night it was for Josh. I remember back in the 90's I watched Mark Whitten hit 4 homeruns for the Cardinals. As rare as that is, I also watched the game when I saw something happen that I bet I never see again. Fernando Tatis was the 3rd baseman for the Cardinals and hit two grand slams off the same pitcher, in the same inning.

I remember that! I didn't see the game but Tatis was with the Rangers before he went to STL. My all time greatest baseball moment was seeing Kenny Rogers throw his perfect game, in person. I went to a random game in '94 and it happened to be that night.

That is awesome. As much as we talk baseball I never knew you went to that game, I know it was quite a while back but I am surprised that the subject never came up LOL.

The reason I love baseball is you can always see something new. So much random stuff or amazing performances can happen.

My highlight would probably be watching the Atlanta Braves ( my team!!) get their 10,000th franchise last year in person. Totally awesome. It was my birthday present to go to a game and I thought they still had two more wins to go on the trip down, but when we got there they only needed that one. And they won, totally awesome.
