Finally heating up!
With the wacky cold weather we've had for (whatseemslike)ever, the water temps are finally up, and the fish are actually willing to chase some junk!
Finally was able to put aside the wacky rigged perfect plastic finesse worms and throw some spinnerbaits. Sort of brings a tear to my eye.... Hit Little Platte yesterday. Managed 13 or 14, with about an even split on keepers/dinks. Hit Big Platte, for the first time this morning. Didn't expect a lot, between the time I launched and the fact that I've never hit this side of the lake. The action wasn't great, but I was happy with it. Nabbed a 3# LM, 1.9# SM, another LM keeper, 11" rock bass and a dink. Going back out there in an hour or so First 2 pics are from Lil Platte. 3 & 4 are from Big Platte

Thanks guys!
The trip out this evening was lame. 3 solid rock bass and 1 dink largemouth. Hooked somethin really nice, thought it was gonna jump but instead it rolled on the surface and came unbuttoned a few seconds later. Z, don't think I've had the chance to welcome you to the site yet, so....WELCOME! MIB, I'll leave a light on for ya up here Boss, I still haven't completely figured out what's up with the spawn around here. I THINK they're all done, but I have no idea if they've even started to be honest with you. It has been a seriously strange Spring

Nice bass. Can't wait to this weather settles down. Every time I get a chance to go out a front blows through.

Those are some healthy and chunky looking fish. Down here in northern Indiana, the spawn is just finishing up or about to. Last weekend I saw a lot of old beds. So I'd be guessing that your spawn is probably about to start up there. I can't wait to get my trailer back and get back on the water. It's in for repairs right now.

Way to go, Mallen! Those are some nice looking bass. I am now less than two weeks away from bass opener here, so hopefully I will have some good pics to share after 8 days at the lake!
