I found out this morning that a cousin of mine whom I've grown up with my whole life, is now sitting in jail charged with 1st degree murder, and I'm told his wife is brain dead in ICU, but still alive. I'm in total shock at this whole ordeal since I've been talking to them both just a couple of days ago about coming to their home and painting a wall mural in a bathroom they were in the middle of remodeling. Nothing in my conversations with them led me to think anything was wrong in their relationship, so it all seems a bit fishy to me at this point.

I'm hearing he walked in on her as she was putting a gun to her head and he tried to stop it, but the gun went off.....Hmmmmm.....She's not the type to suddenly take her own life, and he's not the type to suddenly murder his wife, so I dunno.....But I do know that he's gotta be in alot of pain right now, and Lord only knows what the kids have seen and are dealing with also....But I'm sure the whole family could use your prayers. Their names are Charles and Patsy from Ralston Oklahoma.

Man, this sounds like a really, really bad (and confusing) situation. I will keep your family in my prayers and I sincerely hope they get to the bottom of things, no matter what that means.

Only Charles knows for sure what happened. I pray his story is true. The kids don't need to lose both parents.

Its been a looooong day, and I still don't know much, and not much of what I do know makes much sense at this point.......Bryce, your 100% correct...Only Charles, Patsy and the good Lord know for sure what happened,but I hope and pray it comes out that he's telling the truth and its all a big horrible accident. They still had three kids living at home but only the oldest was there when this happened...the two little ones were at the grandparents house and were not home to see any of this thankfully.

Thank you guys so much for your prayers.....I got a feeling this is far from over.

Thats a very sad situation, and hopfully the truth will come out and Charles will be found innocent. Those kids are going to need him badly. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Thanks guys....I also struggle to find the words to talk about this ordeal, and so far it still seems so surreal its hard to wrap my head around....I keep expecting to wake up and realize its all just a bad dream.

UPDATE:.....I received word that Patsy passed away this morning.....My heart is heavy with grief for my cousin and his children. I'm at a loss for more words at this time, but thought I'd update this post.
