Default I'm back....

Did ya miss me? Yesterday afternoon I was on here responding to a post and my hard drive CRASHED. COMPLETELY. Died, completely lost everything on the C-druve, Every file on my hard drive just went bye-bye. I have no idea what happened, just windows popping up all over the screen alerting me to "critial failure".

So not being very computer literate, I just did a factory restoral on the computer. Took about 45 minutes to figure it out, but it's done. I've got the 'puter up and functioning, finially figured out the connection to our home wireless - well the truth is, the wife did it for me.

Guess, I'll see if this thing keeps running or if I have to repalce it. So I'm back, please continue the fun and games........

Let me see.............. I think about 15 people will respond "didn't even know you were gone"............... yeah, I feel the love.................

I wondered what happened to you. I was asking everyone, "where's Bruce?" We were worried about you buddy. Don't give us a scare like that again!!

10 Laws of Computing

1.If you have reached the point where you really understand your computer, it's probably obsolete.
2.When you are computing, if someone is watching, whatever happens, behave as though you meant it to happen.
3.When the going gets tough, upgrade your computer.
4.The first place to look for information is in the section of the manual where you'd least expect to find it.
5.For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction.
6.To err is human ... to blame your computer for your mistakes is even more human, its downright natural.
7.He who laughs last, probably has a back-up.
8.The number one cause of computer problems is computer solutions.
9.A complex system that doesn't work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine.
10.A computer program will always do what you tell it to do, but rarely what you want it to do.

For 3 simple payments of $29.99 I have some friends who could do a better job.... Ehhh, I'll send out the details in a PM.

Haha, in all seriousness though, I hate computer. I am so bad with them.

I used to know what I was doing when working with PC's. Hell, as part of my senior project in college, I wrote a program to calibrate and measure the output of pH probes, and then turn on dosing pumps to keep reef aquaria stable. We're talking complete hardware and software design, not just clicking a mouse in a packaged OS like Windows.

Now, after many years of designing buildings on a computer all day, I don't even want to think about PC's in my spare time. My only wish is to check my email, post some inane comments on a few forums, and play a game or two once in a while. I am soooo over PC's. I don't have the first clue what's going on with them any more.

You should have seen me when my wireless mouse and keyboard both magically disconnected the other day, and I couldn't use either one to reconnect the other. I couldn't even log back in to my computer after restarting, since you have to click on the correct user. Talk about panic....

Bruce, I just kinda figured you were in the back yard with binoculars studying flocks of geese looking for little hummers.
