![]() ![]() The water is in the upper 70 to real low 80’s. The bait are stacking up in the creeks and working the bends and long stretches with deep crank baits can be a good pattern. Carolina and Texas rigs will work if the structure will let you work them through without hanging up to much. Don’t cuss the little fish as they are the future 7 to 10 pound fish and some will make the teens. Handle them carefully release then carefully. These small fish will be caught many times this month and to ensure they survive we need to handle them careful. The crappie are getting better as the weather stays cool. We need a little cold weather to get the big fish up and moving. We are catching plenty of small fish with some good fish mixed in. Jigs, baby bass assassins, and minnows are all working. Look in water 28 to 30 foot deep and they should been suspended around 15 to 20 feet. Don’t forget this is a good time to fill your freezer for the winter with bar fish or crappie. Give me a call if you wont to book a trip. Jim Reaneau 1-888-918-5088 |
