CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 84 degrees; 909.80':
Largemouth are fair to good at first light in 8'-15' on redbug/chart plastic stickbaits like Tiki Sticks or Senkos, white 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com). Ledges and open water humps in 20'-30' are holding suspended fish during the day. Carolina rigging a pumpkin/chartreuse Snap Back lizard or chartreuse Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com) will get their attention. Upriver, bass are good to 6 lbs. using a 3/8 oz. white/blue/chart Terminator spinnerbait, pitching watermelon/red Snap Back creature Baits and 1/4 oz. blue/blk Rattlin' Jigs w/#11 Uncle Josh Pork trailers (www.unclejosh.com). Smallmouth are good to 3 lbs on smoke/red Snap Back tubes and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on drop shot rigs and white plastic stickbaits like Senkos or Tiki Sticks, wtrmelon/grn or gold flake Cut Tail worms or rootbeer/ grn curl tail grubs. Both rigged on 1/8 oz. jigheads. Striped Bass are very slow in 60'-80' vertically jigging 1 oz. Pirk Minnows. White Bass are slow. Crappie are fair upriver on Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.
