Even the old folks were lucky in thier day to have a whiz bang, it produced back then , still does today..
The story I hear is Karl Whiz(nicnamed Capt. Billy) was fishing on the creek on day, whittlin' on a turd sized piece of oak, got tired of it and threw it in the creek, much to his surprise a 22 lb smallmouth attacked it...years later Karl met up with Ruth Bang, noted hook saleslady for Sears and Robuck, and once the romance started,, well the rest is history,

Just the most capable lure ever created. They were band in the early 20's. Someone stole the blueprint and continued making them on the down low. A few hundred seemed to be manufactured every few years, usually in the black market. All I know is alot of people who have been fortunate to own one have been hurt and even harrassed by different divisions of the govt. I was given 2 by my father, who found them today, going through an old tacklebox in our attic. The one, is the old Chrome Plated Whiz Bang, It is missing the front treble hook, is this its design by default??? The second one, is a red looking one, which changes color from every direction you look at it!!!

Nice.............. I got a bag of the Origional Whizzle Worms that were made back in the early 70's and due to death the inventor he only made 30 bags of them.......... They are valued at 56$ per worm.................. But they catch to many fish to sell.............

I can't fish so I was reorganizing my tackle , carried a plano box of Whiz-Bang lures to the fridge to get a pepsi and the freezer door opened and the box of frozen fish sticks fell out on the counter near the Whiz-Bang lures. Coincidence that the whiz-Bang lures were there ? I don't think so, I have seen everything now. P N J
