Default Catching up

It has been busy around here again. I have been checking in but not even logging in, much less posting. Heading out this morning to west TN to visit the parents but too miserable out to fish anyway. Haven't been in three weeks and having serious withdrawal symptoms.

To all of you in the path of the "frankenstorm" please prepare as best you can and know that we will all be keeping you in our prayers! Be safe and post to let us know, if you can.

C'mon, bama. Sure, winter gets long, but how can you HATE something that looks like this?

no dean...although it is pretty and all. i DON'T LIKE WINTER. winter here is not like that. it's cold, wet, soggy and dreary.....nothing like snow areas.

remember how "pretty" it is when oyu are out there SHOVELING the white stuff jsut to get in the door, lol!! i wager around feb you'll be ready for some WARM weather.

i would rather deal with triple digit heat than negative digit winter. lol.

I actually enjoy the shoveling. It is great exercise. You are right, though. By February I'll be ready for it to be April instead. Other than the driving, which sucks in the wintertime, I'd rather have the sub-zero temps and wind chills instead of the 90+ temps and high humidity of the summertime. I can always dress for the cold, but nothing I can do in the summer heat except sit inside in the AC.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, BG, and good to see you around here again.

Here I am, checking in from West TN. Actually, we fished almost all of last winter. As long as there isn't a bitter wind, I am good.

Dean, the photo is breathtaking and I don't consider the thread hijacked at all. I don't mind the shoveling too much. The problem is our driveway is very steep so if it the least bit icy, it is a no go for sure.
