Maybe they were just on a school trip to visit Washington DC.

Actually 20 years ago could catch brook trout on the way down to harpers ferry, the south branch and its tribs do contain spots along with the Shenandoah just however in the upper reaches where the trout sort of stop, and bass begin. Not thick mind you,but can be caught with smallies in eddies,so not really invasive, just appearing now where they didnt prior, yet existed in the drainage.
Nothing like a wild 13 in brookie almost wiithin sight of Harpers Ferry. The south branch is an excellent smallie water,or was been awhile . Experienced yakker or canukers would love the float trip. Last edited by lilmule; 04-28-13 at 10:39 AM. |
