dang but it has been a looong day -please note time-i got up 5 am yesterday -saturday- fished in the team tourny at high rock. caught 1 lil bass weigghed in at 2:30pm. got home by 3 pm. wormy-brother- tells me that tonight is the night before the new moon meaning it was the darkest night of the month. so off we go at 8pm to put out cat fish jugs. no wind on badin no clouds no moon -perfect-as we were not alone out there we started off with 20 jugs using frozen shad. we had 5 before midnight mostly smaller ones. about every 15 mintues we were chasing down a jug. all night long wormy calls his girl friend about 3 am we have both a 40 qt cooler plus my live well full. she brings down his truck with a 220 qt cooler we transfer the cat fish to it. and head back out. by 7 am we are running out of room to put the cat fish cooler ,live well are getting full we decide to come in. retriving all the jugs possible we can't find 4 -oh well- the big cat went 22 pounds -blue -caught a bunch in the 5-8 pound range we threw back about 20 dinky ones. ended up with 47 blues 5 flat heads and 1 lone channel cat. i just got done filleting them all out. i think i shall go ahead and get some sleep -i aint as young as i used to be-
all in all had a great night burnt about a 1/2 tank of gas. and caught all of them in the same 3/4 mile chunk of lake-we were in a creek- zooker
