Default Question for panfishers

Yes, I know this is a bass board, but I put it under non fishing. My question is will bluegill hit crappie tubes on jigs?? In the summer, the bassin dies down in the day, but The gills seem pretty active. Any answers are appreciated.

Blue gill will hit crappie jigs and bass will hit crappie jigs too. You can stick a cork on a crappie jig and wiggle it every now.

They'll hit crappie jigs, mister twisters, small rooster tails and in line spinners. You put something small that has a "wiggle" in it and they'll likely take a swipe at it.

Thanks Guys, I never really targeted the gill before, but now When the bassin slows down around noon or so, I usually try to catch em. So, Heres another question are the souther pro mini 1 inch tubes on a 1/8 oz crappie jig to big?

Downsize the jighead to 1/32 or 1/16. I take my younger cousins panfishing alot, worm and boober and small grubs with 1/32 jigheads around shallow cover works.

They hit them pretty good........... I would get some of those little grubs and put one on the smallest jig head you can get........ Bass seem to like them a little on those slow days to.......
