Wierd question... i was thinking that since my cousin owns places and has a DBA im going to have her order a catelog from a place that sells wholesale fishing stuff. All i would have to do is find out the name of a company that sells fishing equipment to tackle shops and fishing stores and then i can have her order them for me and get a wholesale price

Your cousin might have a better chance at getting some catalog names then the rest of us.
Give her a list of baits that you like, and ask if she can do a lil research. I hope that helps in some way or another. -Chris

they don't all come from the same places there is like 30-40 company's in the south east alone that just distrubt tackle alone. 95% of all tackle unless custom made has a 50% mark up in price.. oh yeah some where i seen a list for what icost to make a lucky craft pointer $2 us paint is $.50 shipping -inculding import tax -$5 each and you pay what $18.95 each. just who is getting screwed here???

Now why in the world would someone who owns a tackle store, or sells tackle retail give you a list of the distributors or contacts? They are in business to sell the stuff for profit, not tell everybody else how to. If you want to open up a tackle store, then contact the manufacturers directly. Such as Shimano, AllStar, Kistler, Rapala etc... But be prepared for opening orders minimums and rules about store brick and motar building etc.. If you are looking for discounted stuff try ebay.

No wholesaler is going to sell you anything unless you own a store and prove you own a store. I own a teeny tiny store and it took me 9 months of hard work to convince the wholesalers to sell me the items just to have enough merchandise to open the dang thing. And no, you don“t get rich selling fishing tackle, the discounts are irrisorious in most cases.

all you need is a DBA to get wholesale prices on anything. she does it with alot of things, im positive about that. she told me to get the name of a company that sells everything, not just one brand or anything. and i dont think that it would matter to tell me the name of a wholesale company considering i most likely wouldnt be going to the fishing stores that you own because im most likely no where near you... any other ideas or places that would help??
thanks pig n jig im gonna check them out...
