I just bought a pack of yum dingers, in watermelon red color, and this is my first pack. I am fishing a pond with almost no cover execpt for a lot of mossy weeds and some green slimy stuff, and was wondering what technique I should use with the tiki stiks? If I texas rig them, should I use any weight or not? Thanks Alot

depends on if there are holes in the moss or not. If its a solid mat, you'll most likely need some sort of weight to bust through the mat, but if there are holes, you can go weightless and twitch the stik along until you reach the hole, then drag it off and let it fall down into the hole.

They are amazing baits! IMO, they are kinda guaranteed baits!
I just caught two LM yesterday, one was around 3lb and the other was 5lb, which means huge in Canada. I used WAVE WORMS 5" Tiki-BamBoo( Green Pumpkin Chart, weightless!) to catch the small LM, and then I switched it to even ridiculous 7" YUM DINGER (watermelon red flake). Although I didn't have any kinda bright color Yum dinger with me, and it was extreme sunny mid afternoon(2:00pm), my 7" YUM DINGER (watermelon red flake) still worked in the ultra see-through water. I caught the 5lb LM. Man, you gonna love these Tiki stuff. IMO, if water is not very deep, weightless will bw the best way to catch the fish. If you are not very familiar with TiKi kinda stuff, here is the info. probably can give you a clue: http://www.nybass.com/robj/nybsenkorig.htm BTW, does anybody know where or how to get the fishing glue guys were talking about here in Canada? Thanks. |
