Hey, guys. I know most of us are top water lure lovers. So just wondering what is your favorite "walkin' dog" lure? I believe it is still the best action of all top water lures. What do you think?
thanks |

Have to say the good ole spook. Hard not to throw anything else but it really depends on what the bass want.

A Jitterbug, becsause it walks the dog itself, all you gotta do is a slow steady retrieve LOL. Other than that a Spook/Spook JR/Sammy/Any of them. I really pick out size and color more than the Brand anymore. I mean they all will catch fish. But the size is a huge difference maker at times. Smaller sometimes is the only way you'll catch fish.

I'm with Reb on this one, the slim dog is great, but so is the cultiva tango dancer. The skitter walk isn't bad but it leaves a lot to be desired, and pretty pricey!

Spooks- silver, frog, red/white-the original, jitterbugs are also very effective.

Thank guys! We definitely have some common favorites. Actually I like Zara Spook bestcuz I believe that its action is the best; and also very easy to handle. My another favorite actually comes from Berkley: Frenzy Walker>
![]() I bought this one when it was on sale. I usually don't use any kind product from Berkley, because honestly most of them are kind bandwagon. However, Frenzy Walker worked pretty well for me. I caught a lot of different species on it until an almost 13lb pike snapped and broke it this spring. |
