Quantum 650PT
How many guys use this reel and how good is it? Is it very smooth? Had any problems with it?

first hef i have never had any real problems with a quatum reel. the 650 i think is the energy reel. any energy reel is worth the money. most are very smooth and will last quite a while a have beat mine a bunch they still work fine..

I have a 650 and I wish I had a dozen more of them.It performs flawlessly ,Shop around, I think Cabelas has them on clearance sale for around $80.00.P N J

The reason I was asking is I picked one up on Ebay brand new in box for 53 dollars. I have an AC500PT and I love it. I know that the 650PT runs for about $150 and I saw it and I couldn't pass it up. Was just wondering how everyone thought of the reel and if any problems have been found.

The only problem that I've found is that the origional color may peel or wear out quickly.This won't effect the operation of the reel.

I got my 650PT in today and I love it. It has to be the smoothest cranking reel I've ever used. I just thought my AC500PT was smooth. Can't wait to get it in the water. I have to stand watch tonite, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

yeah for some reason the paint does seem to peel off quite easy even on my 860ptx metal reel.not that it hurts the preformance any..
